Online Store: Video Training Tapes - Vibration Analysis of AC Motors

Description: 2 Videotape Series on AC Induction Motors

Part Number AVT-3 - Two Tape Series

Highlights:

  • This 2-part videotape series provides the Vibration Analyst with the ability to analyze and differentiate between various AC motor electromechanical problems.
  • The Vibration Analyst will be able to recognize the vibration characteristics of stator, rotor and control problems.
    • Part 1 reviews basic induction motor components and their functions, fundamental defect frequencies, and how to set up the data collector or analyzer to effectively capture enough vibration data to evaluate a series of electromagnetic problems. It shows how electromagnetic problems cause unequal magnetic forces due to variations in the current flow within either the rotor or the stator and how problems from broken wires or connectors can be seen in the vibration spectra.
    • Part 2 provides the Analyst the ability to detect the electromagnetic variations in the air gap between the rotor and stator from the following faults: non-symmetrical stator core, distorted stator core, worn sleeve bearings, and non-concentric bearing fits in the stator.
